On Tuesday, at about 8:29 p.m., police and fire department personnel responded to Fair Oaks Avenue and Glenarm Street regarding a report of a traffic collision with injuries.
Upon arrival, first responders found a black, 2018 Audi S5 had collided in the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Glenarm Street with a white, Kia Optima. The driver of the Kia Optima, a female in her 40s was pronounced deceased at the scene. Three additional occupants in the vehicle sustained moderate injuries and were transported to local hospitals. The occupants were a female in her 20s, a male in his 30s and a child approximately 18 months old.
The driver of the black Audi S5, a 36-year-old male from Pasadena was transported to the hospital with moderate injuries. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.
The preliminary investigation revealed the Audi S5 was traveling northbound on Fair Oaks Avenue when it collided with the Kia Optima traveling westbound through the intersection. The identity of the deceased is currently being withheld pending positive identification and notification of family members. At this time alcohol and/or drugs are not suspected. The investigation is ongoing.
