Arrests Made at Illegal Marijuana Dispensaries in Pasadena

Pasadena Police recently arrested four individuals in connection with illegal cannabis operations at 1460 and 1470 E. Walnut St., Pasadena, according to the Pasadena Police Department.

The individuals were 44-year-old Jose Cano from Huntington Park, 20-year-old Vanessa Munoz from Monrovia, 22-year-old Jocelyn Munoz from Pasadena and 20-year-old Monica Sandoval from Pasadena.

All four subjects were arrested for the possession and sale of marijuana and released on their signed promises to appear in Pasadena Court. A total of $5,000 in U.S. currency was seized along with approximately 168 pounds of marijuana and other evidence.

This investigation will be presented to prosecutors for the filing of criminal charges. Investigations are continuing at other illegal operations around the city to maintain our legal responsibilities and address public safety issues.

As it relates to the city’s approved plan for cannabis operations, on Tuesday Nov. 13, from 4 – 6 p.m. at the Pasadena Center, city staff will provide information on the upcoming process to issue cannabis licenses for retail, cultivation and testing operations.
