Event to Raise Money for Youth in the Community
From July 19 through August 9, the Pasadena Soccer Club players will raise pledges through Anython for every consecutive “juggle” (with a soccer ball) they complete on the actual day of the event — Wednesday, August 9, at Sotomayer Learning Academies at 7 p.m. Funds will be used to raise much-needed funds to purchase new equipment, pay for field usage and help with coaching fees.
The goal of the event is to have the club members take an active role in raising money through building their skills and increasing activity for a healthy life. The coaches support this type of fund raising over other types of fund raising because it promotes improvements in the youths soccer skills, gets the community involve in a fun and healthy way and helps raise much needed monies for the clubs activities.
The fundraiser is being done electronically through Anython, a company dedicated to helping individuals and organizations raise money for their causes in an easy, efficient and fun manner. Donors can pledge online directly at Anython.com, making a dollar amount pledge “per juggle” or via a flat donation. Younger children are forecast to perform between 30 and 100 “juggles,” while more experienced, older kids will hit somewhere between 100 to 200.
“An ‘Anython’ rewards action by linking pledges with results through our online format. Just as marathons and triathlons have grown with so much in popularity, it is more fun to give to someone who is working for it. Students, athletes, teams or groups collect pledges for every measurable feat achieved, and teams are encouraged to choose an activity that highlights their students’ talents and skills. We are encouraging them not only to help raise money for this awesome organization, but to push themselves and put their skills to the test,” says Anython Franchisee Ron Evans.
